More than 40,000 teachers participated in the online awareness program organized in support of the Innovation Ambassador Program.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has partnered with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to offer the ‘Innovation Ambassador Programme’. As part of the programme, teachers in CBSE affiliated schools will be trained on five modules including design thinking and innovation, idea creation and ideal hand-holding, intellectual property rights, product or prototype development, finance, sales and human resources.
NEP-2020 emphasizes on nurturing young students for problem-solving and critical thinking at the school level. Therefore, teachers must guide these young students to pursue innovation and entrepreneurship. In order to strengthen the mentoring capacity of teachers, CBSE in association with Innovation Cell, AICTE, Ministry of Education launched ‘Innovation Ambassador Programme’. More than 40,000 teachers participated in the online awareness program organized in support of the Innovation Ambassador Program.
These five modules will be trained on
- Design Thinking and Innovation
- Idea generation and ideal hand-holding
- Intellectual Property Rights
- Product / Prototype Development
- Finance, Sales and Human Resources
Chief Innovation Officer gave information
Abhay Jere, Chief Innovation Officer, AICTE while speaking on the Online Innovation Ambassador Training Program said that it can help in strengthening the mentoring capacity to nurture the ideas of the students. He said that this will systematically promote the culture of innovation in school education across the country. Apart from this, Manoj Ahuja, Chairman CBSE has also appointed AITE. AITE with with ATL The training program under the Academy and the training of teachers in new areas AI, Blockchain, Coding, Cyber Security were explained.
AICTE President Professor Anil D Sahasrabuddhe expressed hope in the students as they learn to observe their surroundings and encourage them to innovate in schools. Dr Vishwajit Saha, Director Training & Skills, welcomed the joint efforts of the two premier institutes and emphasized on creating innovation clubs in schools to nurture future leaders.
