Bihar Teacher Job: thousands in Bihar teacher jobs But a huge crisis seems to be looming. Of the 3.52 lakh contractual teachers appointed in Bihar between 2006 and 2015, more than 70,000 may lose their jobs. According to media reports, folders containing documents of more than 77,000 teachers have not been found yet. A large number of teachers’ jobs are in danger due to the negligence of the Bihar Education Department.
More than a thousand FIRs have been registered by the Bihar State Vigilance Bureau involving more than 2,200 teachers. According to the Patna High Court order of 2015, the “Missing Folder” is to be handed over to the bureau for investigation. In this case, between 2006 and 2015, alleged illegal appointments of teachers were made through Panchayat-Raj institutions and urban local bodies.
Negligence of Bihar Education Department
Last year, the Education Department of Bihar had given the task of uploading the documents of those working teachers on the portal, whose folders are missing. However, despite giving several deadlines, the process could not be completed. In such a situation, thousands of teachers may lose their jobs due to this negligence of the Bihar Education Department.
Actually, last year a letter was sent to all the District Education Officers. It was said in this letter that if the documents are not uploaded, it will be assumed that they have nothing to say regarding the validity of the appointment of teachers. Considering it illegal, process will be initiated for their removal and recovery of salary paid through recruitment agencies.
