Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains tweeted, Happy to inform that the first batch of 36 principals of government schools are leaving for training at the Principal’s Academy in Singapore on February 4. He further said, ‘Bhagwant Maan ji’s government is committed to fulfill the promise of providing international level education system.’ Last year, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann held a meeting with the headmasters of government schools and sought suggestions to raise the standard of school education.

Controversy over sending Delhi teachers to Finland

What is the matter?
Significantly, the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) had planned to send two groups of 30 primary class in-charges to Finland in December 2022 and March 2023. The council has also made provision of budget in its annual plan and has been given grant-in-aid by the Delhi government for conducting such training programmes. There is a deadlock between the Chief Minister and the Lieutenant Governor regarding this matter.
