The National Council of Teacher Scientist (NCTS) has awarded ‘Sarabhai Teacher Scientist National Honorary Award 2021’ to make it easier for ‘Super-30’ founder and mathematician Anand Kumar to teach mathematics and to provide coaching to poor children to make them successful in IIT entrance examinations. ‘ is provided. NCTS President Chandramouli Joshi said in a statement that Kumar, a resident of Bihar, was also given life membership of this organization in a digital program on the occasion of Teachers’ Day on Sunday.
According to Joshi, Kumar has been coaching children from weaker sections for almost two decades for the entrance exam ‘JEE ANDWAS’ for admission to the Indian Institute of Technology. The Raman Science and Technology Foundation of Gujarat established NCTS, headquartered in Delhi, to develop scientific temper among teachers.
Kumar thanked the award organizers and said that he is now trying to reach out to more and more people through technology in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic which has affected the weaker sections of the society the most.
