The Allahabad High Court has given its verdict on the petitions filed by the parents for the school fees. 15% of the fees charged in the year 2020-21 will be waived.

There is news of relief for the students studying in all the schools of Uttar Pradesh. The Allahabad High Court has ordered that 15% waiver will be given on the fees charged during the Corona period in all schools of the state. In such a situation, this decision has been taken on the fees charged in all the schools of the state in the year 2020-21. On petitions filed by parents for school fees Allahabad High Court Has given this decision. This decision was given by Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court Rajesh Bindal and JJ Munir.
After this decision of the Allahabad High Court, all the schools in UP will have to return 15 percent of the fees charged during the year 2020-21. During the hearing in the court, it was said on behalf of the petitioner that apart from Tuition Fees by private schools, taking even a single rupee is profiteering.

Allahabad high court ordered private schools to pay back the extra money that was charged to students during the covid pandemic violating the Supreme Court order to adjust the money in the future fee payment.

The decision of the Supreme Court in Jodhpur vs. State of Rajasthan was cited while arguing on behalf of the petitioners in the court. It has been said in this that demanding fees by private schools without providing any service is commercialization of education. This has been described as profiteering of the educational institution.
How will the fees be refunded?
According to the decision of the Allahabad High Court, 15 percent of the fee charged in the year 2020-21 will have to be adjusted with the full fee in the next session. On the other hand, the fees will be refunded to the students who have left the school. This decision has been given by the Division Bench of High Court Chief Justice Rajesh Bindal and Justice JJ Munir.
