Only after this they get a license to practice medical in India. One of the questions in this is that what eligibility criteria they have to fulfill to get a medical practice license.
At the same time, now the Indian Embassy in Beijing has answered all the questions of the students who went to study medicine in China. The Indian Embassy issued a statement saying, ‘The Embassy is constantly being asked questions from Indian students as well as their parents regarding the eligibility criteria for students pursuing clinical medical programs in China. The embassy is being asked what is the eligibility criteria to appear in the examination conducted by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
What was the reply of the Indian Embassy?
“In this regard, students and their parents are advised to refer to the gazette notification issued by the NMC on November 18, 2021,” the embassy said. The statement issued by the Indian embassy further said, “Clause 4(b) of the NMC clearly states that foreign medical students should be registered with the relevant professional regulatory body.”

It further said, ‘Where students have been given medical degree after studies. There they should be able to obtain a license for medical practice. This medical license should be equal to the license given to the citizen of that country. Actually, doctors coming from abroad have to clear the FMGE exam for medical practice in India.
These students will not be able to give FMGE exam
The embassy asked the concerned Chinese authorities and medical colleges to ensure that Indian students coming to China to study medicine are educated, trained and work ready, so that they meet all the eligibility criteria of the NMC. get it.
It said that after November 2021, students admitted to the Clinical Medicine Program in China and students who fail to obtain a license to practice medical doctor in China will not be allowed to appear in the ‘Foreign Medical Graduate Examination’ (FMGE).
Can students work in China without a medical license?
A question was also being asked by the students whether students can work as assistant doctors in Chinese hospitals even after failing to study medicine in China and then obtain a medical practice license. This is so that they can pay their living expenses and loans.
Responding to this, the Indian Embassy said that it is being discussed with the concerned Chinese authorities in this regard whether such an option exists. If the answer is received, then its information will be shared with the students immediately.
