Delhi Govt. The Delhi government has released Rs 100 crore in the first quarter for 12 fully funded colleges of Delhi University. There was a long tussle between the state government and the colleges regarding this fund. The government said that the funds would be released only when the governing body would be constituted as per the rules. On the other hand, teachers teaching in these colleges had alleged that due to non-release of funds, there is a delay in getting their salaries.
Education Minister Atishi said that the government has allocated Rs 400 crore for the financial year 2023-24. Out of this, Rs 100 crore has been released for the first quarter. He said that in order to ensure quality higher education for every child in Delhi, the amount of funds given to these 12 colleges through the government is increased every year.

Which colleges will get the fund?
Acharya Narendra Dev College, Aditi Mahavidyalaya, Bhagini Nivedita College, Bhaskaracharya College, Deen Dayal Upadhyay College, Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Keshav Mahavidyalaya, Maharaja Agrasen College are the 12 fully funded colleges of Delhi University. , Maharishi Valmiki College of Education, Shaheed Rajguru College and Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies.
What facilities will the colleges get from the money?
Many facilities are going to be provided through money in these colleges which are funded by the Delhi government. First of all, salary will be given to those teachers, whose salary has been stopped. There have been many demonstrations regarding salary. However, now the stalled salary of all the teachers will be transferred to them.
