The pilot project of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission was announced by the Prime Minister on August 15, 2020 from the ramparts of the Red Fort. At present Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission has been implemented in six union territories in pilot phase. The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission is being launched along with the third anniversary of NHA’s Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY).
What is Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission?
A National Digital Health Ecosystem will be created under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. This would require a lot of data. Based on infrastructure prepared in the form of Jan Dhan, Aadhaar and Mobile (JAM) trinity and other digital initiatives of the Government, PM-DHM will be available through provision of a wide range of health related personal information ensuring security, confidentiality and privacy. It will create a seamless online platform for data, information and information. Under this campaign, access and exchange of health records will be enabled with the consent of citizens.
How will Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission work?
The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission Sandbox, developed as a part of the campaign, will serve as a framework for technology and product testing and will also provide support to private organizations that support National Digital Health. Being a part of the ecosystem, Health Information Provider or Health Information User or Ayushman Bharat intends to efficiently associate itself with the prepared blocks of Digital Mission.
Under this, the government will make a unique health card of every person. This card will be completely digital which will be like Aadhar card in appearance. You will get a number on this card, as the number is in Aadhaar. This number will identify the person in the field of health.
Health card will be made for every citizen
Under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, every citizen of the country will have a health ID which will also act as their health account. With this, personal health records will be linked and viewed with the help of mobile application. Under this, the Healthcare Professionals Registry (HPR) and Healthcare Facilities Registry (HFR) will act as a single collection for all healthcare providers in both modern and traditional medicine systems. It will also ensure ease of doing business for doctors/hospitals and healthcare providers.
What will be the benefit?
Once the unique health card is generated, the patient will be exempted from carrying the file to be shown to the doctor. The doctor or hospital will see the unique health ID of the patient and extract all his data and will be able to know all the things. Further treatment can be started on that basis.
This card will also tell which government schemes the person gets the benefit of. Whether the patient gets the benefit of treatment facilities under Ayushman Bharat or not, it will be known through this unique card.
What will be recorded in Health ID
First of all, mobile number and Aadhaar number will be taken from the person whose ID will be generated. With the help of these two records, a unique health card will be created. For this, the government will form a health authority, which will collect individual data. Permission will be given by the Health Authority to collect the health records of the person whose health ID is to be made. Further work will be carried out on this basis.
Make health id like this
A public hospital, community health centre, health and wellness center or a healthcare provider that is affiliated with the National Health Infrastructure Registry can generate a health ID of an individual.
