A well known British businessman has been arrested within the UK after being accused of serving to a Russian oligarch to evade US sanctions.
Graham Bonham-Carter, cousin to actress Helena Bonham-Carter, was arrested on Tuesday and is accused of funding properties purchased by oligarch Oleg Deripaska in addition to expatriating his artwork. He has denied this.
The US Department of Justice mentioned the American authorities would search Bonham-Carter’s extradition following the cost in opposition to him. Deripaska has beforehand been sanctioned by America.
