Jeevan Pramaan Patra: EPS’95 pensioners can now submit life certificate at any time which will be valid for 1 year from the date of submission.
Submit life certificate in these ways
The last date for submission of Annual Life Certificate or Jeevan Pramaan Patra (Jeevan Pramaan Patra) for government pensioners was November 30. However, the last date for submission of life certificate is different for private sector employees taking pension from the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) under the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS), 1995. EPFO has given this information by tweeting.
EPFO on its official Twitter handle said, EPS’95 pensioners can now submit life certificate at any time which will be valid for 1 year from the date of submission. In December 2019, EPFO made this change in the rules for submission of life certificates by pensioners.
The submission of Life Certificate or Jeevan Pramaan in the month of November every year by the Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995 may be replaced by the system of submission of Jeevan Pramaan/Jeevan Pramaan after one year from the date of last Life Certificate submission .
Failure to do so will stop the pension
The EPFO, in a circular in December 2019, had said, pensioners will have to submit Life Certificate / Jeevan Pramaan in the same month during the next year, failing which the pension will be withheld from the next month.

According to this rule, if an EPS pensioner had submitted his life certificate on December 15, 2020 last year, then he will have to submit it on or before December 15, 2021 this year, failing which his pension will be stopped. .
Pensioners are required to submit their Annual Life Certificate before the deadline every year to continue receiving the pension. If they do not deposit before the last date then they will not get pension from next month.
