The number of rich in India in the last few years (Billionaires in India) has grown very rapidly. Especially high net worth individuals are being made very fast. According to the report of Knight Frank India, ultra high net worth individuals in India in the year 2021 (High Networth Individuals) there was a jump of 11 percent and their number increased to 13 thousand 637. India currently ranks third in the world in terms of billionaires. America is at the first position with 748 billionaires, China is at second place with 554 billion and India is at the third position with 145 billionaires. The number of ultra high net worth individuals in India increased to 13637 in 2021 from 12287 in the year 2020.
Property consultant Knight Frank in his latest report (Wealth Report 2022) said that the number of ultra high net worth individuals across the world registered a jump of 9 per cent last year. Now their total number is 610569. In 2020 their number was 558828. According to this report, those people whose assets are $ 30 million i.e. 225 crores or more, they come in HNI category.
HNIs grow fastest in Bengaluru
Talking about the cities, Bengaluru has the highest growth in HNI. There their number increased by 17.1 percent and it was 352. The number of HNIs in Delhi increased by 12.4 per cent to 210. In Mumbai, there was an increase of 9 percent in their number and it was 1596.
By 2026, the number of HNIs will cross 19 thousand
It has been said in the report that the number of ultra high net worth individuals will increase by 39 percent by the year 2026 and their total number will increase to 19006. In 2016, there were only 7401 high net worth individuals in India.
