The market put a sixer on the ‘last ball’, people earned 3.44 lakh crores

In the year 2020, on March 31 i.e. the last trading day, there was a rise of three and a half percent. After that, investors got negative returns on the last day of March in both the years.

The stock market may have been trading sluggishly and with a decline for a few days, but on the last day of the financial year, the tone of the new financial year has been created and enthusiasm among investors. There has been a rise of more than two and a half percent in the stock market. The reason for which is to get some relief in the banking sector crisis with the news of demerger of Reliance’s financial business.

The rise in the rupee against the dollar also helped boost the stock market. Due to this boom, investors have benefited Rs 3.44 lakh crore. The special thing is that this is the second time since 2017, when stock market investors have seen a gain of more than one and a half percent.

Today there has been a good boom in the stock market. The Bombay Stock Exchange’s major index Sensex is trading at 58,991.52 points with a gain of 1031.43 points, or 1.78 percent. By the way, the Sensex had also crossed the level of 59 thousand during the trading session. On the other hand, the National Stock Exchange’s major index Nifty closed at 17,359.75 points with a gain of 279.05 points, or 1.63 percent. However, during the trading session, the Nifty also reached a high of 17,381.60 points.

Best speed for the second time in 7 years

Sensex has seen good growth for the second time in 7 years. In the year 2020, on March 31 i.e. the last trading day, there was a rise of three and a half percent. After that, investors got negative returns on the last day of March in both the years. In the year 2019, the Sensex saw a gain of only 0.33 per cent and in 2018 and 2017, the market appeared negative on the last trading day of the financial year.

How much did the investors earn?

Share market investors have benefited a lot from this earning. It is linked to the market cap of BSE. After the stock market closed on March 29, the market cap of BSE was Rs 2,54,69,433.77 crore, which increased to Rs 2,58,13,770.21 crore by the close of the market today. This means that market investors have gained Rs 3,44,336.44 crore on this day.
