Plantme Agro Solutions Pvt Ltd, the startup aims to promote hydroponics based sustainable urban farming. It was started a year ago by four entrepreneurs. This tech based agriculture start-up offers a wide range of facilities to the farmers such as state of the art horticulture solutions, high quality seeds and a complete package of semi-grown resilient plants.
Provides farming facilities for large spaces ranging from kitchen gardens
This start-up provides kitchen garden facility for both maximum yield in limited space and large scale cultivation. For these facilities, the company charges from Rs 2,900 to Rs 16000 thousand. At present it is running in Kochi city of Kerala. It will be launched soon in other cities of Kerala as well. The startup’s co-founder and CEO Ashwin Ramachandran said that with this the product will not have to travel long distances, which will also reduce carbon emissions.
This system is suitable for leafy greens
The NFT system involves circulating nutrient-rich water through food grade uPVC pipes for rich yield and is best suited for leafy greens like spinach, kale, and mint and other exotic vegetables. It also recycles water facilitating water conservation while avoiding salt deposits near the roots.

Co-Founder and COO Nitin Kumar said, “All the measures adopted by Plantami Agro Solutions Pvt Ltd to help the farmers are developed on the basis of technology and research so that the average city farmer can optimize their produce. be allowed to do so.
Plantami’s polyhouse facilitates better air circulation and ventilation
The company claims that Plantami’s polyhouse provides better air circulation and ventilation. Which is ideal for growing fruits and vegetables, thus helping farmers to replace tin-foil roofs with better alternatives to protect their crops from excess heat, cold and pest attack. At the same time, another co-founder Akhila Ramdas has done M.Tech in Computer Science. He added that the start-up provides round the clock customer support.
