This week the stock market made a new history. On the last day of the week, the Sensex not only opened beyond 60 thousand, but also closed. This week Sensex closed at 60048 points and Nifty closed at 17853 points. Due to this boom, the market cap of BSE increased to Rs 261.18 lakh crore. It increased by 2.22 lakh crore on a weekly basis. On a weekly basis, the Nifty gained 1.52 percent and the Sensex 1.75 percent.
This week, the market capitalization (market cap) of the top 10 companies of the Sensex increased by Rs 1,56,317.17 crore. During this, the Sensex crossed the record 60,000 mark for the first time. Last week, the 30-share Sensex of BSE was up by 1,032.58 points or 1.74 per cent. The market capitalization of Reliance Industries increased by Rs 58,671.55 crore to Rs 15,74,052.03 crore in the reporting week. During the day’s trading on Thursday, the market capitalization of Reliance Industries had crossed the Rs 16 lakh crore mark.
TCS crosses 14 lakh crore
During the week, the market valuation of Infosys rose by Rs 30,605.08 crore to Rs 7,48,032.17 crore. Bajaj Finance made a profit of Rs 22,173.04 crore and its market valuation reached Rs 4,70,465.58 crore. The market position of Tata Consultancy Services increased by Rs 15,110.63 crore to Rs 14,32,013.76 crore.
HDFC Bank’s market cap increased by 10142 crores
Similarly, the market capitalization of HDFC Bank increased by Rs 10,142 crore to Rs 8,86,739.86 crore. Bharti Airtel’s market position jumped by Rs 6,068.69 crore to Rs 4,05,970.66 crore. The market capitalization of Hindustan Unilever increased by Rs 4,863.65 crore to Rs 6,44,199.18 crore.
Kotak Mahindra Bank’s market cap increased by 4254 crores
Kotak Mahindra Bank’s market valuation rose by Rs 4,254.75 crore to Rs 4,01,978.75 crore and HDFC’s jumped Rs 2,523.56 crore to Rs 5,13,073.85 crore in the reporting week. ICICI Bank’s market position increased by Rs 1,904.22 crore to Rs 5,01,080.90 crore.
Reliance Industries at number one
Reliance Industries retained the first position in the list of top 10 companies. It was followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, HDFC, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Finance, Bharti Airtel and Kotak Mahindra Bank respectively.
