Ruchi Soya’s profit declined

Ruchi Soya on Friday released its quarterly results ( Quarterly Results) have been issued. The company has informed that in the March quarter its profit (Q4 net profit) has come down by 25 percent to Rs 234.4 crore as compared to last year. In the corresponding quarter of last year, the company had reported a profit of Rs 314 crore. The company’s income from business grew by 38 percent during the quarter. Along with the results, the company has given a dividend of Rs 5 per share to its investors, which is a dividend of 250 on the face value of Rs 2. According to the company, this is the highest dividend given by any company in the sector. Recently Ruchi Soya published Patanjali Ayurveda (Patnajali) has bought the food retail business. Along with this, the company’s board has announced to change the name of Ruchi Soya to Patanjali Foods.
Where did Ruchi Soya’s income reach?
According to the information given, the income from business of Ruchi Soya during the March quarter has been Rs 6,663.72 crore. Which was at Rs 4,38.5 crore in the same quarter last year. The company’s EBITDA during the quarter stood at Rs 418.55 crore while the EBITDA margin stood at 6.27 per cent. At the same time, the company’s total profit during the whole year has been Rs 806 crore, which was Rs 680 crore in the previous financial year. According to the company, its branded business consisting of brands sold under royalty arrangement and institutional segment (bakery and vanaspati) sales stood at Rs 4,848.87 crore and constituted 72 per cent of the total sales. On the other hand, sales from the food products segment grew by 15 percent over the December quarter.
