PIB Fact Check has said on its Twitter handle that a message has come to notice, in which a person is being told that their MTNL KYC will expire within 24 hours. Told him that this message is fake. PIB Fact Check also said that MTNL never sends SMS or text messages to individuals over phone or WhatsApp for KYC verification. Therefore, do not respond to any such fraud email or SMS or call at all.

Otherwise it will be blocked within 24 hours. If you have also received such a message, then do not call the given number at all. Nor do not give your personal details to any person.
