Efforts to train 1 lakh railway employees in 6 months
Under this project, an effort is made to train about one lakh frontline railway employees over a period of six months. Mission Rail Karmayogi aims to transform the attitude of these frontline workers by providing citizen centric training- first helping them develop the intention to serve and secondly building their capacity to serve. The project has been designed to play a major role in improving the individual performance of frontline railway employees as well as strengthening the image of Indian Railways as a responsive and efficient organization.
Certificates will be given to the employees after training
One thousand frontline railway employees nominated from all 68 divisions of Indian Railways will be trained as ‘master trainers’ at the Indian Railway Transport Management Institute, a centralized training institute under the Ministry of Railways. These ‘master trainers’ will train the remaining railway employees in the field in a time bound manner. All the trained staff will be assessed and duly certified using a state-of-the-art technological platform. The course material designed to train railway personnel will also be placed on IGOT, an online training platform of the Government of India, in subsequent years.
