It remains the highest paying sector in India

The IT and ITES sector in the job market in India plays the sting of the sector again. According to the Paymap survey report by Global Job Search Platform Indeed, whether it is fresher or experienced professionals, IT sector has beaten everyone in terms of salary in the IT sector. In this sector, new people are earning up to Rs 28,600 every month, while professionals with 5 to 7 years of experience are coming up to Rs 68,900. The biggest reason for this bounce is the increasing demand for digital and AI-based roles.

AI in the world of technology

It has been said in the report that the demand for AI and digital skills in the world of technology is touching the sky. This is the reason why salary is increasing continuously in the IT sector. Not only IT, sectors like manufacturing and telecom are also not lagging behind in terms of salary. In these sectors, freshers are getting salary of 28,100 to 28,300 rupees a month, while professionals with 5 to 8 years of experience are earning from 67,700 to 68,200 rupees.

Fine salary is also available in entry-level jobs

If we talk about different job rolls, then the salary in entry-level jobs from software development to HR engineering is between 25,000 to 30,500 rupees a month. But real wonders are products and project management rolls. Of these, people with 5 to 8 years of experience are earning up to Rs 85,500 every month. The interesting thing is that UI/UX design rolls are now competing with traditional tech roles like software development. The salary of Senior UI/UX professionals is reaching Rs 65,000 a month.

New cities are becoming a stronghold of jobs

Another big revelation has been revealed in the indeed report. Now in terms of jobs and salary, cities like Hyderabad, Chennai and Ahmedabad are also going ahead in the race in terms of jobs and salary. Salary growth in these cities is more than the country's average 15% salary increase. Sashi Kumar, Head of Sales of Indeed India, said, the trend of salary is changing. People are now choosing cities where there is a balance of living costs along with salary. Now opportunities are not limited to big cities, but even small cities are giving opportunity.

Employees upset due to inflation

However, despite the increase in salary, many employees are troubled by inflation. In the survey, 69% of the employees said that their salary is decreasing according to the increasing expenses in their cities. Especially in big metro cities like Delhi (96%), Mumbai (95%), Pune (94%) and Bengaluru (93%), this complaint is the highest. On the other hand, cities like Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Kolkata are considered more economical. Salary and everyday expenses in these cities are better.

Survey conducted from 2,531 employees

Explain that in this report of Indeed, 1,311 employees and 2,531 employees answers have been included. The survey was done to understand salary trends, sectors 'status and employees' sentiments in the post-pendemic economy. This report not only gives salary figures, but also shows that India's job market is now running on new paths.
