INR USD Exchange Rate Today: Rupee at record low against dollar, Pakistani rupee worsens

Rupee opened today by falling 30 paise.

Dollar to Rupee Exchange Rate (USD/INR) Today 12 May 2022: Rupee against dollar has continued to rise for two days. Rupee today opened lower by 30 paise at 77.55 per dollar.

The rupee had closed at 77.25 against the US dollar on Wednesday. According to foreign currency traders, continued selling of foreign funds and crude oil (Crude Oil Price) also affected the rupee. The Pakistani rupee has come down to the lowest level ever against the Indian currency. On Thursday, the Pakistani rupee came down to 192 per dollar against the dollar.

In the Interbank Foreign Currency Exchange market, the rupee opened at a very low level against the US dollar at 77.52 and then declined to 77.55. A decline of 30 paise was recorded against the previous closing price. Rupee was trading between 77.50 to 77.57.

Meanwhile, the dollar index, reflecting the position of the US dollar against the six major currencies, rose 0.10 per cent to 103.95. Global Oil Standard Brent crude futures fell 1.11 per cent to $106.32 per barrel.
