According to the report released by the World Bank, India has been considered one of the most similar countries at the global level in terms of income. With the Guinea Index of 25.5, India now ranks fourth in the world in terms of income equality, which lags behind the Slovak Republic, Slovenia and Belarus. The guinea index calculates how income is distributed in a country. The score of 0 means complete equality, while 100 means maximum inequality.

India left the legendary countries behind

The special thing is that in this index, the legendary countries of the world have been left behind. Which includes countries like China and America. According to the report, India's new score is ahead of developed countries like China (35.7) and United States (41.8) as well as all G7 and G20 countries. In 2011, India's Guinea Index was 28.8, which has been showing continuous improvement over the years. This means that India's record in this matter seems to be much better in this matter.

The Ministry of Social Welfare said in a statement that this report shows how the development of India is being shared more fairly among its people. The government has focused on reducing poverty, increasing financial reach and giving direct welfare assistance to the needy.
