Ahead of the two-day nationwide strike called by trade unions, the power ministry has asked all government-run establishments and other agencies to be on high alert, to ensure continuous power supply and to ensure the stability of the national grid.

The forum said that employees of the financial sector, including banking and insurance, are also joining the strike. The Ministry of Power issued an advisory saying that the Center of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) has called for a nationwide strike from 6 am on March 28 to 6 am on March 30.

Order to operate the electricity grid day and night

The ministry said that in the interest of power consumers, all power installations are advised to take necessary steps to ensure day and night operation of the electricity grid.

Apart from this, let us tell you that due to the strike of bank unions, the work in the bank may come to a standstill on Monday and Tuesday. However, state-run banks say that the strike will show a partial effect and the work will continue. The impact on the work will depend on how many unions are going in support of the strike and how many withdraw from this decision. Since not all unions are in support of the strike. Therefore, it is believed that only partially the work will be affected. In fact, the trade unions have called a strike against the policies of the government, in which bank unions are joining.

Central trade unions and unions of different sectors have given a strike warning by forming a joint forum. These organizations have announced to stop the work on Monday and Tuesday. These unions say that they have called for the strike due to the anti-people economic policies of the government and the anti-laborer-labour policy.
