Tickets will be booked in Hindi also through UTS app
UTS On Mobile App will now be available in English as well as Hindi language. Users can choose a language of their choice. Once the ticket is booked, the ticket can be shown to TTE in offline mode without internet connection.
Indian Railways has given a big gift to the passengers traveling by train. UTS On Mobile App will now be available in English as well as Hindi language. Users can choose a language of their choice. Using UTS on mobile app, passengers can choose between paperless or paper ticket. This information has been given by the Ministry of Railways.
The mobile ticketing application is completely developed by Indian Railways (CRIS) and is available on all platforms – Android and iOS. It can be downloaded for free from the respective store. The application has received wide appreciation for its usability and customer experience and has received a rating of four stars on the Google Play Store. The number of registered users of the UTS mobile application is 1.47 crore.
Benefits of mobile ticketing for passengers
>> No need to wait in queue for tickets.
>> Paperless and eco-friendly.
>> Once the ticket is booked, the ticket can be shown to TTE in offline mode without internet connection.
>> On-the-go booking Passengers who are in a hurry or decide to travel at the last minute, reach the station directly, scan the QR codes at various places on the station. Scan it and book tickets. Presently this facility is available at 1,600 stations.
>> completely cashless Customers can use all types of digital payment options like Rail-Wallet, Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI and E-Wallet.
>> Cheap- Customers using Rail-Wallet facility will get 5 percent bonus on recharge. For example, if a passenger makes a recharge of Rs 1,000 in his wallet, he gets a recharge worth Rs 1,050.
Traditionally, unreserved tickets were sold at booking counters at railway stations. In order to reduce the waiting time of passengers at booking counters, railway ticket agents and automatic ticket vending machines were introduced at major stations as additional point of sale. However, the presence of the customer was required at all these sales centers.
UTS on Mobile App was launched in the year 2014
Let us tell you that UTS Mobile Ticketing was launched on December 27, 2014, after which the system was rigorously tested on the parameters of safety, security and customer experience and then it was implemented across the Mumbai suburb. Gradually, mobile ticketing was implemented in the metro cities of Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata and Secunderabad between 2015-17. With effect from 1st November, 2018, UTS mobile ticketing is also available for inter regional travel i.e. travel between any pair of stations across Indian Railways on the lines of normal ticketing.
