The French company said in its statement, Total Energies has entered into an agreement with Adani Enterprises Limited to acquire 25 per cent stake in ANIL. ANIL will be the exclusive platform between AEL and Total Energies for the production and commercialization of Green Hydrogen in India. Total Energies said, ANIL has set a target of producing one million metric tonnes of green hydrogen (MTPA) per year by 2030. Adani Group said that this partnership focused on green hydrogen is expected to transform the energy landscape in India and globally.
US $ 50 billion investment plan
According to the statement, ANIL’s ambition is to invest more than USD 50 billion in green hydrogen and related ecosystems over the next 10 years. Both the companies did not specify the amount of investment in their statement. Total Energies is already a partner in Adani Green Energy Limited.
