Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) continue to be net buyers in the Indian markets. FPIs have made a net investment of Rs 1,997 crore in the Indian markets during October 1 to 8. Hence, India remains an attractive investment destination for FPIs from a long-term perspective. According to depository data, FPIs have invested Rs 1,530 crore in equities and Rs 467 crore in the debt or bond market in October. In this way his net investment has been Rs 1,997 crore.

Earlier, FPIs had invested Rs 26,517 crore in Indian markets in September and Rs 16,459 crore in August.
