The wait for e-passport is about to end now. Foreign Minister Jaishankar has announced to start Passport Seva Program 2.0 soon on the occasion of Passport Seva Diwas. After the launch of this program, people will get an e-passport with a chip. In such a situation, there is good news for those who were planning to get a passport. The Foreign Minister has said that the citizens of India will now get new and upgraded e-passports.
The Foreign Minister said that Passport Seva will soon provide passport facility to the people in a reliable, accessible and transparent manner. Artificial intelligence ie AI technique will also be used to prepare advanced and upgraded passports with new chips.

Ease of life has to be increased
Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said on Passport Day that we are continuously contributing in increasing the Ease of Life mantra of the Prime Minister. We have to take it further and improve the digital eco system. Let me tell you, the e-passport facility will be prepared with artificial intelligence. Chip will be enabled in these passports. With this, people will be able to travel abroad easily. With the use of AI technique, people’s data will be secure and safe.
What is e-Passport Program 2.0?
Under the e-passport program 2.0, passports will be made using the latest technology. Latest biometrics technology will also be used in this. These passports will be made using cloud computing with AI, advanced data analysis, chat bot, language preference. This will make it easier to get a passport and the user’s data will also be safe. Let me tell you, the software of e-passport has been developed by IIT Kanpur and NIC.
