TVS Motor Company has announced the launch of its Radeon commuter in India in two new paint schemes. The company has introduced two new dual-tone color scheme options in the form of Red and Black options as well as Blue and Black options. Apart from the different paint scheme, no other changes have been made on the commuter motorcycle.
Both the newly introduced paint schemes get a dual-tone fuel tank and a body-coloured headlamp assembly. Also, there is a dual-tone effect on the side body panels which also gets a ‘Radian’ decal. The front mudguard is dipped in black in both the options while the engine cover gets a golden colour. At the bottom, the alloy wheels are offered in black color in both the color options.
Apart from the change in look and feel, rest of the details on the bike remain the same. Some of the features of the Radeon include LED DRL, USB charging port, disc brake etc. The BS6-standard TVS Radeon is powered by a 109.7 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that generates 8.08 PS of power at 7,350 rpm and 8.7 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. Transmission options include a 4-speed gearbox. The bike offers maximum fuel efficiency of 79.3 kmpl.
As far as the price is concerned, the new dual-tone variant of TVS Radeon has been priced slightly higher than the standard variant. The drum variant (DT) costs Rs 68,982, while the disc (DT) will set you back Rs 71,982, making both the models Rs 900 more expensive. It is a direct competitor to the likes of Honda CD 110 Dream DX, Bajaj Platina ES 100 and Hero Splendor Plus.
