The 2021 Jeep Compass gets 6 airbags and a 360-degree camera.
Jeep has announced a price hike of up to Rs 20,000 on its Compass SUV in India. The premium off-roader was launched in January this year and is offered in Sport, Longitude (O), Limited (O), Limited 80th Anniversary and S (O) trims. It gets a muscular built feature-rich cabin, and is available in petrol as well as diesel engine options.
Both the petrol and diesel versions of the Sport and Longitude (O) variants have now become costlier by Rs 10,000. Meanwhile, the high and top-spec variants of the SUV get a hike of Rs 20,000. The Jeep Compass gets a muscular bonnet, 7-box grille, blacked-out air dam, silver skid plate and adjustable LED headlamps. It gets roof rails, indicator-mounted ORVMs and 18-inch alloy wheels on the sides.
The rear of the Jeep Compass gets a shark fin antenna, a roof-mounted spoiler, a skid plate and wrap-around LED taillights.
Jeep Compass Engine and Cabin
The Jeep Compass comes with a 1.4-litre petrol motor that generates 161hp of power and 250Nm of torque and its 2.0-litre diesel engine produces 168hp of power and 350Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed manual, 7-speed DCT and an automatic gearbox.
The Jeep Compass gets a spacious 5-seater cabin with ventilated and electrically adjustable front seats, a dual-pan sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control and a USB charger at the front and rear. It gets a 7.0-inch digital driver display and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. For safety, the car has 6 airbags and a 360-degree view camera.
What is the price of Jeep Compass now?
After the latest price hike, Jeep Compass is now priced at Rs 17.29 lakh for the base-end Sport model, Rs 20.79 lakh for the Longitude variant, Rs 22.89 lakh for the Limited variant, Rs 23.36 lakh for the Limited 80th anniversary variant and Rs 23.36 lakh for the S variant. The price is Rs 25.04 lakh. 28.64 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec diesel-operated variant. The 2021 Jeep Compass competes with cars like MG Hector, Hyundai Tucson, Tata Harrier, Volkswagen T-Roc and Mahindra XUV500 in its segment.
