Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM) has achieved tremendous success in the sale of hybrid cars in the Indian automobile market. During the financial year 2025, the company sold more than 80,000 strong hybrid vehicles, leading to a 79% share in the company's segment. This figure shows that three out of every four hybrid cars sold in India were from Toyota. Toyota's hybrid portfolio includes four major models such as the Innova Hycross, Urban Cruiser Hyder, Camry and Welfire. 26.8% of the total sales of the company comes from these hybrid models only, which clearly shows the company's strategic direction.

However, Toyota's portfolio currently has no electric vehicle (EV), yet petrol -powered vehicles stake were 38.6%, which is the largest part of the total sales. At the same time, sales of diesel vehicles were 25.6% and CNG vehicles contributed 9.1%, including 28,089 units. Talking about hybrid vehicles, the best -selling model was Toyota Innova High Cross. It alone got the first place in the entire segment by selling 53,005 units.

The price of Toyota Innova High Cross Hybrid starts from Rs 19.94 lakh and goes up to Rs 32.58 lakh for the top model. This car is available in 11 variants. In this, you also get safety features like 6 airbags, Adas (Advanced Driver-Assistant Systems), 360-degree camera, and ISOFIX child seat ankrej as features. Apart from this, it also gets panoramic sunroof, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charging, connected car technology, and ventilated seats such as comfort and convenience.

This was followed by Urban Cruiserhirider, whose 26,834 units were sold. Toyota Camry at number three, which sold 1,865 units, while the list was at the bottom of which 1,155 units sold. This success of Toyota has made it clear that the company has become the strongest player in the hybrid segment in India, and customers are also showing rapid trend towards environmentally friendly options.
