Ampere Electric, an electric two wheeler brand under Greaves Electric Mobility, has taken forward its famous Ampere Magnus range with the new Ampere Magnus EX. Many better and new features have been given in this big electric scooter. Also, the company claims that it gives best-in comfort and better performance in the category. Certified by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), the Ampere Magnus X offers a range of 121 km on a single charge and is priced at Rs.68,999 (ex-showroom, Pune).
Commenting on the launch, Roy Kurian, COO, Ampere Electric, said, “Customers are looking for more affordable ways to travel as two-wheeler passengers can save on petrol prices. The Magnus EX enables users to make multiple trips with its long range per charge. Due to its large comfy space and superior riding comfort, the Magnus has been the preferred choice of many EV prospects across the country. Moreover, now every app smart Indian customer will have to offer better style, extra power and performance, cost-effective savings on every kilometer of drive and smart ride.”
What’s special about the Ampere Magnus EX scooter
The Ampere Magnus EX comes with an innovative slotted cradle frame that offers large underseat storage space and the frame position enables the battery to be taken home and charged, even in tall buildings . According to the company, the Magnus EX has been designed after taking into account customer feedback and will offer a practical combination for everyday users with great space management along with a large battery and a convenient boot space. The Magnus EX comes with a removable and lightweight Lithium Ion battery for easy charging in any 5 amp socket at home, office, coffee shop or any plug in wall charge point.
The Magnus EX comes with a city driving speed of up to 53 kmph and the 1200 W motor offers 0 to 40 kmph in 10 seconds. The Magnus EX has two riding modes, Super Saver Eco Mode and Power Mode, which offer the best of both worlds, long range range and performance when needed. The Magnus EX gets a powerful LED headlight, 450 mm of legroom space and comes with a three-year warranty (on main aggregates and aftercare).
