The Indian benchmark index opened with gains this morning amid positive global cues. At 10:35 am, the BSE Sensex was trading on an upward trend at 52,351.78, up 1.46%. All 30 Sensex companies were trading in the green zone. Titan Company Limited, State Bank of India and HCL Technologies were the top gainers. Titan climbed over 5% and saw a surge in volumes. Among the broader markets, BSE Midcap was trading 1.81% higher at 21,378.61 levels. Smallcap index also rose 2.24% and was trading at 23,946.73 level.
Nifty 50 index was trading 1.55% higher at 15,588.40 points. Titan Company Limited, Hindalco Industries Limited, Tata Motors, JSW Steel and Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone were the top gainers in the Nifty 50 index. All sectoral indices edged up in morning trade with BSE Consumer Durables being the best-performing sector. Shares of Titan, Dixon Technologies and Voltas Ltd saw gains.
