MOSCOW — Russian automaker Sollers is in talks with Mazda about shopping for the Japanese firm’s stake of their Russian three way partnership, Sollers mentioned, as Mazda prepares to wind down operations in Russia.
Mazda, which offered 30,000 automobiles in Russia final yr, mentioned in March that exports of components to the enterprise’s Vladivostok plant have been going to finish and manufacturing would stop when shares ran out.
The Nikkei newspaper on Saturday first reported the talks with Sollers.
Sollers mentioned on Monday that it was in talks with Mazda over stopping automobile manufacturing in Vladivostok and on shopping for out Mazda’s stake within the enterprise.
