Penny Stocks: These chawni stocks including Libord Finance closed in upper circuit today

MumbaiMajor US indices declined overnight amid the release of the latest inflation data and negative global sentiment. Heavy selling was seen in US stocks yesterday, due to which the Nasdaq closed with a sharp decline of 4.73%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down more than 3.5% and the S&P 500 was down 4.04%. Shares of Target Corporation and Walmart Inc fell 24.93% and 6.79%, respectively, with many large-cap stocks losing more than 4-5%.

Every major stock market in Asia was trading in the red zone at 10 am. Hong Kong’s benchmark indicator Hang Seng was down 2.25%. Another benchmark indicator, SGX Nifty, marked a negative start with a fall of 317 points. Hence, headline indicators Sensex and Nifty 50 were also trading on the downside. The BSE Sensex lost 1.74% and was at the level of 53,264.45. The only gainer on the Sensex was ITC Ltd. The most affected stocks were Tech Mahindra, Wipro and HCL Technologies Ltd.

The Nifty 50 index was trading 1.81% down at 15,946.35 points. On the Nifty 50 index, all the shares were trading in the red except ITC Limited and Eicher Motors. Shares of Tech Mahindra, HCL Technologies and Wipro Ltd saw major declines.

On the sectoral front, all sectoral indices were the worst hit with BSE IT, BSE Tech and BSE Metals.
