Ola company’s first electric scooters Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro are going on sale for the first time today. These electric scooters were launched on August 15 and come with a peak power of 8.5kW. These electric scooters have two battery configurations – 2.98kWh battery on the vanilla Ola S1 and 3.97kWh battery on the Ola S1 Pro. The deliveries of the Ola electric scooter are said to start in October. Both the electric scooters get a 7-inch touchscreen display.

The newly launched electric scooters Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro can be purchased by Ola starting today, 15th September at 8 am. The company has explained in detail how the scooter can be purchased through a post on its blog. The Vanilla Ola S1 can be purchased at an ex-showroom price of Rs.99,999. While Ola S1 Pro can be purchased at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1,29,999. Both these prices are listed without the subsidized electric vehicle received in each state.

To buy a scooter, interested customers will have to pay 20 thousand rupees in advance on the purchase portal of the company website. At the same time, the remaining payment will have to be paid before the delivery of their Ola S1 or Ola S1 Pro. The blog also mentions that deliveries will begin in October. But no date has been confirmed yet.

The Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro were launched in two configurations – the 2.98 kWh battery on the vanilla Ola S1 and the 3.97 kWh battery on the Ola S1 Pro. The Ola S1 is claimed to have a range of 121 km and a top speed of 90 kmph. The Ola S1 Pro, on the other hand, is said to have a range of 181 km and a top speed of 115 kmph. The vanilla Ola S1 gets two riding modes namely Normal and Sports while the Ola S1 Pro gets Normal, Sports and Hyper riding modes.
They also get a 7-inch touchscreen display with multiple microphones, AI speech recognition algorithm, and run on Ola Electric’s MoveOS. The Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro electric scooters also get a box of safety features which include an anti-theft system, geo-fencing and a flame-retardant battery that is also water and dust resistant.

Ola electric scooters will face tough competition in the electric two-wheeler market. It competes with Ather 450X, Simple One, TVS iQube, and Bajaj Chetak. Of all these five electric scooters, the Simple One comes with the longest claimed range of 236 km on a single charge. In contrast, the TVS iQube has a range of 75 km on a single charge, which is the lowest among the five.<!–
