Toyota Kirloskar (Toyota Kirloskar Motor) Motor Glanza in the Indian market (Toyota Glanza) and urban cruiser (Toyota Urban Cruiser) Prices have been updated. Last month, the manufacturer increased the prices of Fortuner and Innova Crysta. Now this month, the company has hiked the prices of its hatchback and compact SUV. G Hybrid Trim (Toyota Glanza G Smart Hybrid) All variants of Toyota Glanza except Toyota have become expensive by Rs 21,000. The G Hybrid variant will now be more expensive by Rs 45,000. Talking about the carbon cruiser, its price has been increased from Rs 4,400 to Rs 17,500 in the variant.
The Glanza is equipped with two 1.2-litre petrol engines. In the standard version, the motor produces 82bhp power output and 113Nm torque while in the hybrid version, the engine works in conjunction with a lithium-ion battery and generates 89bhp power output and 113Nm peak torque. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and CVT gearbox. Talking about the compact SUV offering, the Urban Cruiser is available in three trims – Mid, High and Premium.
Last week, Toyota Urban Cruiser and Glanza achieved one lakh sales milestone. So far, a total of 65,000 units of Glanza and 35,000 units of Urban Cruiser have been sold. After the hike in prices, the Toyota Glanza is now priced from Rs. 7.70 lakh to Rs. 9.66 lakh is Rs. Whereas the price of Urban Cruiser is currently around Rs 8.88 lakh to Rs 11.58 lakh. Apart from the updated prices, no other changes have been made on both these cars.
There is also a dual-jet version of this engine with a mild-hybrid system from the Toyota Glanza, which belts out 90 PS and 113 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a CVT. The Toyota Urban Cruiser is powered by a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine that is capable of producing 105 PS and 138 Nm of peak power and torque. Gearbox options are limited to a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque-converter automatic transmission. On the AT variant, the SUV also gets a mild-hybrid system.
Interestingly, both these vehicles will soon be overhauled. The Glanza is a rebadged version of the Maruti Baleno, which will be introduced in the facelift version this month. The Urban Cruiser is a rebadged version of the Maruti Vitara Brezza, which will come with the new generation model in the coming months.
