Nitin Gadkari New Car: Petrol and diesel prices have been increasing continuously for the last few days. Due to this, the common man of the country is worried. Gadkari, who has always supported other fuel options, has now got rid of petrol-diesel. He has recently bought a new car. The specialty of this car is that it does not run on petrol, diesel or CNG. Gadkari’s new car runs on hydrogen fuel. Gadkari said, ‘We are going to use this car in Delhi so that people can have confidence in the hydrogen car.’
Nitin Gadkari always talks about reducing the use of petrol. He is of the view that India should be less dependent on petrol in the near future. For this, they often talk about different fuel options. He plans to run buses, trucks and cars on green hydrogen, which is made from sewage and city waste. He made this announcement during the 6th National Financial Inclusion Summit on 2 December.
He also announced his new car at the same event. Gadkari has bought a pilot project car. The car runs on Green Hydrogen developed at the Oil Research Institute in Faridabad. Gadkari will use this car in Delhi to instill confidence in the people about hydrogen fuel. Gadkari had said at an event in November that an order would be issued in the next two to three days to make flex-fuel engines mandatory for car companies. Cars with flex-fuel engines can use more than one fuel.
India imports petroleum products worth Rs 8 lakh crore annually. Gadkari had said at an event this week that if India is dependent on petroleum products, the import bill will increase to Rs 25 lakh crore in the next five years. “I am going to sign the order to reduce petroleum imports in the next two to three days. Under this, car manufacturers will have to bring cars with flex-fuel engines,’ Gadkari had said.
Now Gadkari himself has bought a car that runs on hydrogen and will use it. Gadkari himself will try to instill confidence in the minds of people about alternative fuels.
