Maruti Jimny or Mahindra Thar, which SUV is better for you?

The biggest rival of Maruti Jimny is Mahindra Thar, which is becoming quite popular in the Indian market. In order to compete with Jimny, Mahindra launched an affordable variant of Thar to give competition to Jimny. Are you getting confused between the Maruti Suzuki Jimny and the Maruti Suzuki Jimny, so here we are going to tell you which of the two vehicles is better.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny vs Mahindra Thar: In terms of dimensions, the Jimny measures 3,98.5mm in length, 1,645mm in width and 1,720mm in height. The Thar, on the other hand, is 3,985 mm long, 1,820 mm wide and 1,850 mm tall. Both the SUVs have the same length. The size of Thar is long and wide. Maruti Suzuki Jimny vs Mahindra Thar: In terms of engine, Jimny has been introduced only with 1.5 liter K15B petrol engine. It generates 103 bhp and 134 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed torque converter automatic. The Mahindra Thar is offered with three engine options – a 1.5-litre diesel, a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The 1.5 liter unit generates 113 bhp and 300 Nm of peak torque.
