Creta is getting damaged
The Hyundai Creta has been topping the C-segment SUV market for quite some time now. The September 2021 sales figures are a different story. Hyundai managed to sell 8193 units of Creta in September 2021. In such a situation, what has happened now that people are not liking this vehicle much. Why the sudden sale of Creta has gone down and what are the reasons, let us know.
The lack of microchips is one of the many other reasons that have dented the sales of the Hyundai Creta. After the arrival of the COVID-19 epidemic, carmakers canceled many orders. During this time there was a sudden increase in the demand for work from home devices like laptops, tablets and computers.
The supply of microchips was diverted to the electronic device manufacturing sector. Soon the stock of microchips with car makers started drying up. Car makers are finding it difficult to source these microchips for manufacturing automobiles. Many car manufacturers have also reduced their production capacity. In such a situation, apart from this, there are many new vehicles, whose popularity was heavy on the Creta.
Mahindra’s newly launched car, the XUV700 was able to grab the attention of the buyers from all the segments and managed to attract more buyers. On the first day of booking, the car made a record of booking 25000 units in the first hour of booking. Mahindra had to stop booking for a while.
The recent MG’s new product Astor is another reason for the decline in sales of the Hyundai Creta. The car also managed to attract buyers who were initially planning to buy the Creta.
Volkswagen’s new SUV i.e. Tigun has also left a big impression among the customers. Though the car is not that popular, it still managed to attract buyers who want some more premium features in terms of driving as compared to the Creta.
