India on Tuesday gifted 200 automobiles to the Nepalese authorities for logistical assist to numerous Nepali establishments for the graceful conduct of the November 20 basic elections.

Nepal, which goes for elections for the federal Parliament in addition to the provincial assemblies on November 20, had requested the Indian authorities for the automobiles, in accordance with an Indian embassy press launch.

In a ceremony organised on the Ministry of Finance, Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava, on behalf of the Indian authorities, handed over 200 automobiles to Finance Minister Janardan Sharma, as a present for logistical assist to numerous Nepali establishments for the graceful conduct of elections.

Out of the 200 automobiles, 120 are for the safety forces whereas 80 automobiles are for the Election Commission of Nepal, the press launch stated.

The automobiles would show to be helpful in additional augmenting the logistical preparations of varied establishments of Nepal throughout the nation for conducting the polls.

“I hope that these vehicles will help in arranging election programmes by the Nepal government,” the ambassador stated whereas handing over the automobiles’ keys to the minister.

He additionally wished for an efficient and profitable conduction of the elections in Nepal.

“I, on behalf of the government and the people of Nepal, extend best wishes that the Nepal government will be able to conduct the elections successfully,” he stated.

The Finance Minister expressed gratitude to the federal government and the individuals of India for his or her continued assist within the type of growth partnerships with Nepal, together with the gifting of those automobiles.

The November 20 elections shall be necessary for Nepal to consolidate the democratic course of and keep stability within the landlocked Himalayan nation.

India had prolonged vehicular assist to Nepal on the request of the Himalayan nation’s authorities throughout earlier elections too.
