Country’s leading two-wheeler maker, Hero MotoCorp on Monday said that it has sold over one lakh motorcycles and scooters in just one day on its 10th anniversary i.e. August 9 last week. This sale includes both domestic market and global market sales. The company said that it has achieved this record without any festive-season.
Hero MotoCorp has achieved this figure due to the demand for products from its entry, deluxe and premium segments. The company said that on August 9, the average sale of its scooter had doubled and people have created tremendous demand for scooters which include the recently launched Maestro Edge 125, Destini and Pleasure 110.
Along with this, bikes like the recently launched Glamor XTEC, Splendor Matte Gold and Xtreme 160R also played a big role in achieving the one lakh units mark in a day.
Hero Motocorp completes 10 years
Let us tell you that Hero MotoCorp completed 10 years of establishment of its single brand on 9th August this year. Hero MotoCorp launched its new brand identity on August 9, 2011 at the O-Two Arena in London, following the termination of the partnership with the Japanese company Honda for its previous joint venture – Hero Honda.
Naveen Chauhan, Head of Sales and After-Sales, the company said in a statement, “Completing 10 years of our journey on 9th August marks a significant milestone in the journey of Hero MotoCorp. Bought our range of products in huge numbers which helped us set this record of single day retail sales.
Naveen Chauhan further said that it is a matter of pride for him to achieve such figures in a single day in the non-festive season. Our customers have reposed faith in us and have shopped for a wide range of products on ‘Hero Day’ on 9th August.
