Chennai Ford Employees Union not happy with Ford India’s decision
Meanwhile, the Chennai Ford Employees Union (CFEU) said in a statement that it does not accept Ford India’s decision to close the plants. He has requested the company management to ensure employment for the workers in the Chennai plants along with the proposed buyer of the factory.
Union officials said Ford’s decision to leave India would lead to an uncertain future for about 5,300 employees, workers and employees. According to union officials, there are about 2,700 associates (permanent employees) and about 600 employees at Ford India’s Chennai plant.
The number of workers in Sanand will be 2,000
The company management is holding a meeting with the officials of CFEU on Tuesday. Katesia said, in Sanand, the number of workers would be around 2,000.
Ford India had said that the Sanand Engine Plant, which produces engines for export, has more than 500 employees and around 100 employees support parts delivery and customer service, will continue to support Ford’s business in India. . According to Ford India, about 4,000 employees are expected to be affected by its decision.
