Its launch is expected soon, which means the C 400 GT will become the Bavarian automaker’s first maxi-scooter in the country.
It should be noted that the C 400 GT was updated earlier this year and now offers great performance, smoother acceleration, better braking feedback than its previous model. BMW C 400 GT can get top speed of 139 kmph
We expect BMW to not make any changes to the motor of the India-spec scooter. Available on sale abroad, the C 400 GT is powered by a 350 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that churns out 34 hp at 7,500 rpm along with 35 Nm of peak torque at 5,750 rpm. The engine comes with a CVT gearbox. It should be noted that the international-fantasy model has a claimed top speed of 139 kmph.
The suspension setup of the maxi-scooter includes telescopic forks at the front and dual spring-loaded shock absorbers with adjustable preload at the rear. It gets dual disc brakes at the front and a single disc unit at the rear.
The BMW C 400 GT is expected to come with a premium price tag and recent reports also suggest that the scooter can be booked with a token amount of Rs 1 lakh. With an estimated price tag of around Rs 7 lakh, the BMW C 400 GT will not only become the most expensive maxi-scooter when launched, but will also become the most premium scooter in the Indian market.
