The Tata Tiago CNG has already been spotted during a road test. In such a situation, the vehicle can be launched soon as the dealerships have already started booking it.
Tata Motors is preparing CNG variants of its entry-level cars, which are expected to be launched later this year. The manufacturer has started the road test for the CNG powered Tiago.
The car spotted on the road is a mid-spec variant and was seen with a bright red paint scheme. For information, let us tell you that this color is already available in the current petrol model of Tiago.
The vehicle will be launched at the time of Diwali but the company has already started booking the Tiago CNG. Apart from this, you can also book Tigor EV by paying Rs 5000. The booking amount for both the vehicles is same.
The front of the Tiago will get the existing tri-arrow theme front grille at the front. Along with this, it will get projector headlamps, LED DRLs, fog lamps, shark fin antenna, LED high mount stop lamp, LED tail lights and other features.
Cabin details are not available in this, but its interior will be similar to the current petrol powered models. Apart from the Tiago, Tata also plans to offer CNG option on more cars. This could include the Tigor, Altroz and Nexon SUVs. Out of these, the launch of Tigor EV has been done, so now it is Tiago’s turn.
The 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine can be given in the vehicle, which will come with a 5-speed manual transmission. This engine generates maximum power of 85bhp and peak torque of 113 Nm. However, the CNG powered unit can give less output than this.
