Recently Huawei has filed a patent that mentions the design with a solid state battery with high energy density and speed charging. This battery will use nitrogen dopped sulfide electrodes which will help protect the battery from getting degradation (weakened battery cells over time).
Charge in only 5 minutes
According to media reports, such density can help a mid -size electric car to distance a distance of up to 3000 km on single charge. The interesting thing is that it has been claimed about battery charging that it will take only 5 minutes to charge from 0 to 100 percent.
The thing to note here is that this figure of 3000 km is based on CLTC (China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Bicycle). When it will be adjusted according to the EPA (Environment Protection Agency) bicycle, the estimate can be about 2000 kilometers, which is still far ahead of most EV offers.
To increase the driving range of the car, only technology is not enough, it will require a much larger and heavy battery pack, which will increase the cost, which will also increase the price of the vehicle.
